Eaglescliffe is a village in the Borough of Stockton-on-Tees, County Durham, England. It is in the civil parish of Egglescliffe.

The village was formerly known as Eaglescliffe Junction, being formed vis-а-vis a railway station. In 2011, the Office for National Statistics had the area as Yarm’s built-up area.

History

The village’s proclaim is thought to be derived from a misspelling of the post of the available village of Egglescliffe meaning a church on a hill.
