Heswall is a town upon the Wirral Peninsula, Merseyside, England and a ward of the Metropolitan Borough of Wirral. Before local running reorganisation upon 1 April 1974 it was allowance of Cheshire.
In the 2011 Census, the population was 13,401, which included the user-friendly village of Gayton.
Geography
Located upon the eastern side of the Dee Estuary, with views across the river to North Wales, Heswall is just about 20 minutes’ drive from the Roman city of Chester and virtually 20 minutes’ drive from Liverpool. The towers of Liverpool’s cathedrals can be seen on the horizon from tall ground.
