Maryvale is an urban village of Phoenix, Arizona.
Plans for Maryvale began to take shape in the 1950s, when developer John F. Long (1920โ2008) came occurring with the idea of a master-planned community upon the western allowance of the city of Phoenix, with an motivation of turning the area into a suburb later than affordable homes and one of the first master planned communities in the country. Maryvale was designed to count space for parks, schools, and the fulfillment of further community services.
