The name โSanta Feโ means โHoly Faithโ in Spanish, and the cityโs full publicize as founded remains La Villa Real de la Santa Fe de San Francisco de Asรญs (โThe Royal Town of the Holy Faith of Saint Francis of Assisiโ).
With a population of 87,505 at the 2020 census, it is the fourth-largest city in New Mexico. It is with the county seat of Santa Fe County.
